I am an artist, interdisciplinary art-science educator, and creativity facilitator. For more than two decades, I have designed and led workshops and collaborative projects connecting art, science, and the natural world.
For me, the borderlands between disciplines are the richest and most exciting areas to work in, because these overlapping areas are where creativity most often emerges. I believe that creativity is urgent, universal, and teachable. Creative thinking is not just for a gifted few — it’s something we all have access to. For those who are interested in taking the risks to explore a creative path, especially in art-science interdisciplinary work, it’s my goal to venture alongside and share what I’ve learned.
experience and approach
I hold a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My professional path brings together creative practice, scientific inquiry, education, public engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
My approach is informed by over 25 years of experience working across art and science. In recent years I have taken a deep dive into creativity research in psychology, neuroscience, education, design, and social and cultural theory. For my workshops and presentations, I use verbal, visual, and embodied forms of engagement, combine individual reflection with collective work, and emphasize curiosity and process rather than polished outcomes.
